Job purpose:

The ECM II Manager is responsible with TD, for ECM activities for current fleet, new equipment as wagons, superstructure, in respect regulations and to fulfill the objective of Fleet deployment .

ECM II Manager has a strong collaboration with other functions of ECM, ECM I & ECM III internally , and ECM IV externally.

He is consequently ensuring the technical condition of the freight wagons that RailRelease has in its rental fleet and reports to the TD.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ECM II activities of the wagons for which RRL fulfills the role of Asset Manager, ECM, Lessor in order to ensure the SAFETY, CONTINUITY, AVAILABILITY and PROFITABILITY of the wagons.
  • Take care of the records of all noticeable events according to the RRL Quality System Management tool. Ensure the follow up of actions. Implement PDCA approach
  • Run Fleet incidents analysis , to build up RRL Return on experience: from data, to investigation, inspections and reports , actions plans, and specific instructions
  • Support New Build wagon activities by checking completeness of the files and checking the Gap to VPI guidelines.
  • Lead the internal and external audits for ECM II activities.
  • Together with Maintenance Manager, contribute to evolution of the RRL Maintenance plan
  • Organize the Audit plan of various suppliers, with colleagues
  • As member of Technical team, contribute to Technical meetings
  • As member of small flexible technical team, can take Maintenance & repair activities as support

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bsc or Msc in mechanical engineering. Interest and affinity with Rail Transport and Equipment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant field
  • Excellent Communication Skills both written and oral in English.
  • Working experiences in Railroad / Freight wagon repair, maintenance and revisions.
  • Demonstrated working experience in continuous improvement of business processes.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the rail company. Technical knowledge of goods equipment and the associated maintenance.
  • Knowledge of risk management methods.
