Rail Force One Germany, based in Duisburg, specializes in freight transport with our reliable train drivers and high-performance trains, ensuring that cargo arrives safely at its destination.

 

We are looking for an experienced Planner to join our team. With our modern locomotives, we serve industrial sites throughout Europe. Our focus is on operating safely and to a high standard around the clock.

Your responsibilities:

  • Planning resources such as train drivers, car inspectors, locomotives, and operating personnel, and creating corresponding shift schedules in traffic planning

  • Working closely with other departments, such as the control center, as well as with external service providers

  • Ensuring that all personnel decisions and measures comply with applicable labor laws and company guidelines

  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in railway operations to prevent accidents and incidents

  • Preparing reports, key performance indicators, and analyses to optimize resources, costs, and efficiency

  • Using specialized software solutions for planning, monitoring, and documentation in railway operations

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • You have at least two years of professional experience in transport planning and have knowledge of transport or logistics

  • You act in a structured and quick manner in emergencies and handle critical situations with confidence, including initiating appropriate measures to limit damage

  • You are flexible and resilient in shift work and always maintain an overview even in dynamic, stressful situations

  • You communicate clearly and precisely in both written and spoken English, give clear instructions, and work effectively with different teams and stakeholders

  • You have strong organizational skills, structure complex tasks efficiently, and coordinate train movements reliably

  • You think analytically, solve complex problems confidently, and deal with irregularities confidently

  • You have good English skills

  • You are confident and professional in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
